Once you have created your site and found your school, here is what your home page will look like:
1. In this box you can navigate your way around Schoology by clicking on the options. Such as: Grades/Attendance, Calender, Messages, People, Subscriptions, etc.
- These are great tools for everyday classes and keeping track of students and their progress.
- The home page also lets you TOUR the site, and PERSONALIZE it to meet your needs. Don't forget to add a picture of yourself as the instructor!
After creating your site, and personalizing it on the HOME PAGE, you can then go to the top of the page and choose COURSES.
- When you have added other teachers and their courses, you can then view these classes under the COURSE tab.
- Click on another teacher's course to view and comment on the material there.
- You can also go to the CREATE button at the bottom of the tab, to create another course that you want on Schoology.
Once you have clicked on your COURSE, you will be led to your course page. Here you can see everything you can upload materials for your course subject.
1. On this page you can view MATERIALS, UPDATES, GRADE BOOK, BADGES, ATTENDANCE, MEMBERS, ANALYTICS, etc.
2. Click on ADD MATERIALS: Here you can upload links, quizzes, discussions, files, pictures, and much more!
You can also customize your course picture here so that students can easily identify your course on their list of Schoology classes.

After creating your COURSE, you can then start adding materials. In the slideshow above you can see examples of different materials used in a course, such as: QUIZZES, VIDEOS, or FILES.
- 1. In the first picture, I am creating a 4 point QUIZ, with one True/False question and one Multiple Choice. In the blue box you can see all of the different ways to view the class progress and editing on the quiz.
- 2. In the second picture, you can see a VIDEO that I have uploaded. This is a great resource to use for quiz questions and for work for the students, outside of class.
- 3. In the third picture, you can see a FILE I created. I did this to hold pictures of a project, links about the topic, and a Word Document on the instructions for the project.
In this last photo you can see how to look at your Notifications on Schoology.
